Hello, I’m Maylene, a photographer and Registered Nurse, full time wife and mum of two boys. Yes, life can be hectic but as they say

“Do what you love and love what you do”

I’ve had this passion for photography ever since I held my first DSLR camera in 2010 – photographing nature, people, and everything in between. Seeing beauty through the lens and being able to capture it gave me a feeling of euphoria, a certain joy and fulfilment. Photography, somehow, became a form of relaxation.

In September 2016 I took the plunge and came out my comfort zone. I made this business official and gained confidence through family and friends who urged me to pursue what I love (If you’re reading this, thank you!). I realised that capturing people’s raw emotions was something even more special. It still fascinates me how a simple moment, a brief memory, can be frozen in time. And this is exactly what I intend to do – bring you good nostalgia for the years to come. I want to capture your beauty, your character, your genuine self, YOU.

I am a self-taught natural light and lifestyle photographer who uses the great outdoors as my playground. Rest-assured that your photos will be bright and full of life, taking advantage of Mackay’s beautiful sceneries.
